Capitaloid (expanded definition)
Capitaloid (noun / adjective)
A person, institution, or system that claims to support capitalism or markets, but either
(a) violates their core principles or
(b) behaves as an uncritical, fanatical defender of “capitalism”, treating it as an identity or dogma rather than a practical system of voluntary exchange.
Additional behavioral traits (fanatic variant)
- Defends every corporate action as “the market,” regardless of state privilege
- Treats capitalism as morally infallible rather than context-dependent
- Reacts emotionally or aggressively to criticism of corporations or inequality
- Confuses profit, power, and efficiency with ethical legitimacy
- Frames all alternatives as “communism” without analysis
In short
Capitaloid = capitalism-shaped or capitalism-obsessed, without restraint or understanding.
Socialoid (expanded definition)
Socialoid (noun / adjective)
A person, institution, or system that claims to support socialism or social justice, but either
(a) reproduces hierarchy and coercion or
(b) behaves as an unhinged ideological partisan, treating socialism as moral absolutism rather than a social arrangement requiring consent and realism.
Additional behavioral traits (fanatic variant)
- Treats disagreement as moral failure or class betrayal
- Reduces complex problems to oppressor vs oppressed narratives
- Justifies coercion, censorship, or punishment “for the collective good”
- Romanticizes past or hypothetical socialist systems while ignoring failures
- Substitutes rhetoric and symbolism for practical outcomes
In short
Socialoid = socialism-shaped or socialism-obsessed, without restraint or accountability.
Unified behavioral rule
When an ideology becomes identity, critique becomes heresy.
Both capitaloids and socialoids:
- Replace analysis with tribal loyalty
- Confuse systems with moral purity
- Defend power as long as it wears the “right” label
Capitaloid: Someone who worships “capitalism” or defends corporate power blindly, mistaking privilege for markets.
Socialoid: Someone who worships “socialism” or collective rhetoric blindly, mistaking control for solidarity.
